We’ve all heard that 90% of success is mindset. I agree and when I find myself in a state of “Stinking Thinking” I have a list of books that always help me find the right perspective. One of those books is “The Noticer” by Andy Andrews. So, with proper credit going to Andy Andrews, this is my message for you today.
When you focus on things you NEED, you’ll find those needs increasing. Bunny Trail Alert; I would encourage you to eliminate the word “need” from your vocabulary. The subconscious message is weakness, lack, and desperation. If someone asked you why you need __________, how would you answer that question. Now, if you change need to want and someone ask you “why do you want __________” your answer is simply because I do. OK, we are returning from the bunny trail.
If you concentrate your thoughts on what you don’t have, you’ll soon be concentrating on other things that you had forgotten you don’t have and feel worse. If you set your mind on loss, you are more likely to lose. But, a grateful perspective brings happiness and abundance into a persons life.
Most of what we do is driven by our subconscious mind. Your conscious mind is the goal setter and your subconscious mind is the goal getter. Have you heard about PTFAR – No worries, I’m going to share this model with you.
Programming is to how we think
Thinking leads to Feelings
Feelings leads to actions
Actions lead to results
And Results lead to Programming
So, if you are looking for better results, start with changing the program. Think of your brain like a computer. You can change the program if you are consciously feeding your brain with the right stuff. For example, next time you have a negative thought like “I just can’t get seller listings,” I want you to stop – erase – replace that negative program with a positive affirmation like – “I am an opportunity magnet, Opportunity and Money freely flow in my direction.
My 5 Step Process To Changing The Program
- Start every day with making a list of five things you are grateful for
- Write your goals down every day. Make sure to include why those goals are important to you.
- Make a list of the non-negotiable standards that lead to achieving your goals.
- Read motivational and educational books every day for 30 minutes when you wake up and 30 minutes before you go to bed.
- Pray – Meditate – and Journal every morning
