BROKEN

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. And all the kings horses and all the kings men couldn’t put Humpty Dumpty back together again.

Every one of us is broken. We have been since “the fall” of man which seperated us from God. However, unlike Humpty Dumpty, we have been “put back together again” reconciled with God through the death and resurrection of Jesus. And, we are still living broken lives. We were born into abuse and neglect, we live in a cruel word that judges us because we are different, we have been rejected by society, we lost a family member and our heart is broken, we are in financial crisis with no way out and “WE ARE BROKEN.”

So what – now what? The way I see it, you have two choices. You can either live your life like Humpty Dumpty or you can get up, dust yourself off and start putting the pieces of your broken life back together again. We are all either in adversity, coming out of adversity or going into adversity. Most people, when faced with life’s heartbrakes respond with “why me?” Why not you? Besides, adversity is preperation for greatness.

THE ULTIMATE FIX: Rather than focus on how broken you are, acknowledge that there are literally millions of people who would switch places with you. You are living someone’s dream life. Live a life of significance helping other people who are more broken than you are put their life back together again.

Remember in the end, we win because Jesus won the battle for you.
